Introducing: Reply Icons

How many conversations do you have on a daily basis? 25? 50? 100? Maybe you’ve never really thought about it, but all these conversations play a crucial part in our daily lives. Try to go one day without talking to another person, and you’re likely to start talking nonsense to a volleyball (Cast Away, anyone?).
That said, we know it’s sometimes hard to tell if you’re replying to the original poster of a Yak (or as the cool kids say, the “OP”) or chiming in on a comment from someone else. And when you’re the OP, it’s tough to know which commenter to thank for answering your question or giving you that Yakky-high-five you’ve been craving.
To help resolve that ambiguity and keep the conversations flowing, we’ve added some new adventure-themed icons!
For each thread, messages from the OP will get an and anyone who replies within that thread will get a randomly-selected icon assigned to their comment (or comments). And since the icon assignments are random, you might be a green anchor in one thread and a purple pair of binoculars in another… the possibilities are (figuratively) endless! Of course, if you participate in a lot of threads, you may occasionally end up receiving the same random icon; but don’t take it personally — we aren’t intentionally assigning you a pair of socks.
This way, you get the best of both worlds — conversations can remain anonymous, but you can still have back-and-forth chats with the OP or a specific commenter.
