Ah, September. When the leaves begin to change and the air becomes crisp and chill. People seem to be a little happier this time of year, and most of us are around here too, the only thing that’s got us a little bummed is that and our last summer intern just left us (tear). And the office is a little emptier, a little quieter, and there are a lot less nerf darts whizzing about.

Before we adjust back to normalcy, I want to introduce you to our last two interns. Now, these two aren’t your average interns, these smarty pants are both working on their masters degrees!  Say hello to Margaret and Chris!

What happens when a comedian, an artist, and a ping pong champ walk into a bar? Well, I don’t really know because two of them are underage, but I DO know what happens when they walk into the Yik Yak HQ: They crush it. And that’s what we’re all about! Grinding hard, day in and day out, to grow the app and make it even better for you Yakkers.

You’ve already met most of our motley crew, but it’s safe to say that this summer wouldn’t be the same if these three intelligent and witty guys weren’t around.

Meet the Interns: Part 2

It’s almost that time of year again. Summer is coming to an end, and the interns are finishing up projects and preparing for their final presentations. As much as we hate to see them leave, we’re so lucky to have had the opportunity to get to know each and every one of them.

There have been many laughs, nerf gun battles, and lessons learned throughout the past twelve weeks, and we can only hope they’ve enjoyed their time here as much as we’ve enjoyed having them.

Meet the Interns - Part 1

Throughout the summer, we’ve had the opportunity to work with twelve fantastic interns from schools all over the U.S. We have interns majoring in biology, marketing, chemical engineering and a variety of other academic disciplines. Each intern brings their unique skills, passions and personality to the Yik Yak herd.

Because our interns are so special to us, we wanted to share a little bit about them with you guys. This is the first of a four-part blog series in which we’ll introduce you to our summer interns, and let them tell you a little about themselves and what it’s like interning at Yik Yak.
